eQualed

Privacy policy

Last updated October 12, 2026.

eQualed splits shared expenses between people in a group. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how to get it deleted.

What we collect

Starting the app creates an anonymous account — no name, email, or phone number required. If you link Sign in with Apple or Google from the Account screen, we store the identifier and email that provider gives us, so your groups survive a reinstall or a new device.

Beyond that, we store what you type in: group names, display names, expenses, amounts, and settle-up records for the groups you're in — and, if you add one, a payment link (e.g. a Venmo or PayPal URL) so group members know where to send you money.

What we don't collect

No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites. We don't sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Who can see it

Only the members of a group can see that group's expenses and balances — enforced by row-level security on the server, not just the app. We can't see your data either, outside of what's needed to operate the service or respond to a legal request.

Where it's stored

Data is stored with Supabase, our backend provider, on infrastructure in the United States.

Deleting your data

Account → Delete account removes your account and every group where you're the only member; groups you share with others keep the expense history but drop your personal identifiers. This happens immediately and can't be undone.

Children

eQualed isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app.
